Veterinary Technician

Job Overview Take amazing care of the pets who need to stick around, be the right-hand to our doctors, helping them give every pet the best Fear Free experience while improving health outcomes. You will begin every exam, support the doctor throughout and help pet parents know what to expect next. Includes but is not limited to

• administering belly rubs, feeding hungry pets, and keeping pets safe, clean, and loved. Since we are a Fear Free hospital with no scary lobbies or exam tables we do require all our staff to be certified! Responsibilities
• Assist veterinarians in medical procedures and surgeries
• Perform laboratory tests and analyze results
• Taking X-rays
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients
• Educate pet owners on animal care and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Handle and restrain animals during examinations
• Provide a Fear Free environment Requirements
• At least 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital setting
• Proficiency in aseptic technique and laboratory procedures
• Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and behavior
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
• Available to work weekends, rotating
• Fear Free certification (will provide once hired if not already certified)

Pay:

$20.00
