About us Jacksonville Equine Associates is an equine based Veterinary service. We are an ambulatory practice that covers North Florida and Southern Georgia. Although we are an equine based practice we do also see small ruminents ; goats, alpaca, llamas, and sheep. Full Job Description Assisting and preparing for feild surgeries Drawing up and administering vaccines / medicine Setting up / cleaning / maintaining all diagnostic equipment Answering phone calls and scheduling appointmentns Position Overview Veterinarian Technicians have a wide variety of responsibilities within the practice. From taking calls and scheduling appointments at the receptionist desk to assisting doctors with procedures, treatments and diagnostics. Requirements High School Diploma or GED. Valid Drivers License. Enjoys animal and has experience handling horses. Can stay calm and efficient during a medical crisis. Is well-spoken and approaches his/her job duties in a mature nature. Is experienced in the teamwork approach and works well with others Has excellent client communication skills.
Physical Effort :
Work requires animal restraint, running, and lifting equipment up to 50lbs. Walking or standing for extended periods or time; frequently working in a bent over position.
Working conditions:
May be exposed to heat/cold, wind/rain, unpleasant odors, noises, bodily fluids.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$18.50 - $22.50 per hour
