This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with veterinarians, pet owners, and animals, ensuring that every patient receives compassionate, thorough treatment. As a key member of our team, you will utilize your animal handling skills, veterinary terminology knowledge, and technical expertise to contribute to positive health outcomes for a variety of species. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures by preparing animals and equipment, applying aseptic techniques, and monitoring vital signs. Perform animal restraint and catheterization to ensure safe and effective treatment while minimizing stress for the animals. Conduct laboratory tests, analyze samples, and interpret results to support diagnosis and treatment plans. Manage pet care routines including grooming, feeding, and administering medications with precision. Maintain accurate medical records, update patient files, and document procedures using veterinary software systems. Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with cleaning, scaling, and radiography. Handle a variety of animals including dogs, cats, equines (horses), and other small animals with confidence in animal husbandry practices. Qualifications Previous experience combined with animal husbandry knowledge is highly desirable. Strong understanding of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and critical care practices. Experience with laboratory procedures, X-ray operation, and pet grooming techniques is preferred. Ability to handle dogs confidently through training techniques and proper restraint methods. Familiarity with equine care or experience working with larger animals is a plus. Excellent animal handling skills with an emphasis on safety and gentle restraint techniques.
