Veterinary Technician

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our animal care team. The ideal candidate will effectively assist veterinarians in providing medical care to a variety of small animals, mostly dogs and cats. They must also communicate detailed information to clients and provide courteous and efficient client care. Duties:

• Assist veterinarians in medical procedures and surgeries
• Perform X-rays and laboratory tests
• Handle and restrain animals during examinations and treatments
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Maintain accurate records of patient care
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment protocol

Experience Desired:

• Experience with X-ray procedures and dental terminology for animals
• Proficiency in handling dogs and other animals
• Familiarity with pet medications, flea and tick control products, special foods
• Familiarity with veterinary vaccination protocols
• Understanding of animal anatomy and veterinary terminology
• Ability to perform laboratory procedures
• Ability to utilize EzyVet software
• Strong animal handling skill
