Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in veterinary medicine, animal handling, and clinical procedures. As a vital member of our hospital, you will support veterinarians in delivering exceptional patient care, perform diagnostic tests, assist with surgical procedures, and ensure the well-being of our animal patients through meticulous care and technical expertise. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with precision and professionalism. Perform laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic assays to aid in accurate diagnosis. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments following veterinary protocols while ensuring patient safety. Handle animals safely using restraint techniques appropriate for different species and temperaments. Maintain detailed medical records and document all procedures accurately in compliance with hospital standards. Conduct pet grooming, pet care education, and provide pet handling support to clients for optimal animal well-being. Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures such as animal catheterization and sample collection to prevent infection. Operate radiography equipment (X-ray) to produce clear images for diagnostic purposes while adhering to safety guidelines. Support animal husbandry practices including feeding, bathing, and general care for hospitalized animals. Assist with dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and performing routine dental cleanings under supervision. Experience Candidates should demonstrate prior experience as a veterinary technician or in a related veterinary setting with proficiency in animal handling and clinical procedures. Specific experience in kennel management, veterinary critical care, laboratory diagnostics, equine care, or dog training is highly desirable. Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy knowledge, pet grooming techniques, and X-ray operation will be considered advantageous. A background in veterinary technician responsibilities involving aseptic technique, animal restraint, and laboratory work will strengthen your application. Candidates must have a genuine passion for animal care combined with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate within a team-oriented environment.
