To learn more about us click here. Job DescriptionThis position is heavily focused on assisting with surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring. Candidates must be proficient in both in order to be considered.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, anesthetic management, and completing surgical notes and charts for procedures assisted with.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

QualificationsWe're looking for:

Must have minimum of 2 years experience as surgery tech and monitoring anesthesia!

Experienced and proficient in anesthesia and surgical monitoringKnowledge in pre-operative care, preparation for surgical procedures, post-operative care, and discussing continued care with clientsAbility to interpret medical records and record client history accuratelyAbility to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe mannerA high work ethic and positive attitude team memberAbility to arrive on-time and ready to workExceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate preciselyProficient in sample collection to include blood samples, urine, fecal, and skinAbility to properly set-up and process laboratory samples and testsProficient in positioning and capturing radiographsA self-starter with the desire to continue to advance one's knowledge and skillsetAbility to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiency
