Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary technician to join our team. In this role, you will support veterinarians in providing high-quality compassionate critical care to animals. You will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to animal health and well-being, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both pets and their owners. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. Prepare and maintain our ICU and client lounge, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies. Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments. Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian or veterinary technician. Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood draws and urinalysis. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. Monitor the health and behavior of animals in the clinic, reporting any concerns to the veterinarian. Assist with procedures as needed. Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques to prevent infection. Requirements Knowledge of animal anatomy, veterinary terminology, and basic animal husbandry practices. Familiarity with aseptic techniques and animal restraint methods. Experience or training in veterinary technology is a plus. Ability to handle dogs and cats safely and effectively in a clinical setting. Understanding of terminology related to animal care. Experience with X-ray procedures is beneficial but not required. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members. Compassionate attitude towards animals and their well-being. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
