Experienced Veterinary Technician

Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and ensuring proper animal restraint using animal handling techniques. Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and sample collection to support accurate diagnoses. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments following veterinary protocols while maintaining aseptic techniques. Conduct dental cleanings and understand dental terminology to support oral health procedures. Handle animal husbandry tasks including feeding, grooming, pet care routines, and maintaining cleanliness in kennels and treatment areas. Take X-ray images while ensuring proper animal restraint and safety protocols are followed. Maintain detailed records of treatments, laboratory results, and patient progress in compliance with veterinary standards. Requirements Proven veterinary technician experience with a strong background in animal anatomy knowledge and veterinary terminology. Kennel experience along with animal restraint skills for safe handling of diverse species including dogs and horses. Familiarity with laboratory procedures, X-ray operation, and aseptic techniques required for diagnostic accuracy. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients while demonstrating compassion for animals. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases efficiently in a busy veterinary environment.
