Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Technician and become a vital part of delivering exceptional animal care! In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians in providing comprehensive medical services, ensuring the well-being of a diverse range of animals. Your expertise will help create a compassionate, efficient, and positive environment for both pets and their owners. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with animal examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures, ensuring all protocols are followed with precision. Perform animal restraint and handling using proper techniques to ensure safety and comfort for animals and staff. Conduct laboratory tests, prepare samples, and interpret basic results to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with pet dental care and cleaning. Prepare animals for imaging procedures such as X-ray, ensuring proper positioning and aseptic technique. Manage animal husbandry tasks including feeding, bathing, and monitoring overall health and behavior. Assist with pet care activities such as pet feeding, walking, and administering medications under supervision. Handle animal catheterization when required to support treatment plans. Ensure a clean, safe environment by maintaining sterile techniques during procedures and managing animal restraint effectively. Qualifications Previous kennel experience or hands-on animal handling experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and critical care practices. Experience with laboratory procedures, X-ray operation, and aseptic techniques is preferred. Strong animal husbandry skills including pet care, and dog handling abilities. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and educate pet owners. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and compassion for animals.
