Veterinary Technician | 4th Street Pet Hospital | St. Petersburg, FL 4th Street Pet Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to become part of our growing team. About Our Practice We are a modern veterinary facility serving the St. Petersburg community with a wide range of medical services. Our hospital is equipped with advanced technology including digital radiology, ultrasound, therapeutic laser, in house diagnostics, and a fully equipped surgical suite. We also provide care for exotics and pocket pets. Our team values communication, teamwork, accountability, and patient care above all else. Responsibilities The Veterinary Technician will assist doctors and fellow team members with daily patient care and hospital operations, including: Patient restraint and handling Laboratory sample collection and diagnostics Assisting with radiographs and ultrasound procedures Surgical and dental support Client communication and education Medication preparation and administration Appointment scheduling and medical record documentation Maintaining a clean and organized treatment area Qualifications Minimum of 2 years veterinary technician experience preferred Strong multitasking and communication skills Ability to work efficiently in a team setting Dependable, motivated, and compassionate attitude Comfortable working in a fast paced environment Availability to work Mondays and Saturdays required Benefits We offer competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan Short term disability insurance Paid time off Employee pet care discounts Continuing education and training opportunities Career growth opportunities Supportive team culture and staff events Physical Requirements This position requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and restraining animals throughout the workday. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance when necessary.
