Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in animal care, veterinary procedures, and technical skills, with a passion for enhancing the well-being of our patients. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, supportive environment where your expertise directly contributes to animal health and owner satisfaction. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and veterinary terminology. Perform laboratory tests, interpret results, and maintain accurate records to support diagnostic processes. Manage animal restraint and handling, including dog training and pet grooming, to ensure safety and comfort for animals and staff. Conduct animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, bathing, and maintaining proper housing conditions for various species including equine patients. Administer medications, perform animal catheterization, and assist with dental procedures utilizing knowledge of dental terminology and animal physiology. Operate radiography equipment (X-ray) accurately while maintaining safety protocols; interpret radiographs as needed. Support pet care activities by providing compassionate animal handling, pet grooming, and ensuring overall animal welfare throughout their visit. Qualifications Certification as a Veterinary Technician from an accredited program is required; prior veterinary technician experience is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in veterinary terminology, animal anatomy knowledge, and veterinary critical care practices. Experience with kennel management, dog handling, laboratory procedures, and equine care is advantageous. Strong understanding of animal restraint techniques, aseptic procedures, and pet grooming standards. Familiarity with veterinary equipment such as X-ray machines and laboratory tools; ability to perform animal catheterization and other technical procedures confidently. Excellent communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to animal care; ability to work effectively within a team environment.
