com/Job DescriptionThe Veterinary Technician Team Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operations, maintaining workflow efficiency, supporting the medical team, and ensuring a high standard of patient care and client experience. This role serves as the bridge between staff and leadership.1. Workflow & Operations ManagementMaintain smooth patient flow from check-in to dischargeMonitor wait times and adjust staffing/assignments as neededEnsure all appointments and walk-ins are triaged appropriatelyIdentify and resolve bottlenecks in real timeSupport estimate complianceEnsure all services and charges are captured appropriately2. Team Leadership & AccountabilityLead by example in professionalism, efficiency, and attitudeHold team members accountable to SOPs and performance expectationsProvide real-time coaching and redirectionSupport onboarding and training of new team members3. Patient Care OversightEnsure accurate and complete patient historiesVerify treatments, diagnostics, and charges are completed correctlyAssist with critical cases and high-acuity patients as needed4. Client ExperienceEnsure timely communication with clientsDe-escalate client concerns professionally and confidentlyMaintain a compassionate, service-driven environment5. CommunicationAct as liaison between DVMs, CSRs, and techniciansProvide clear direction during shiftsEscalate concerns to Practice Manager when needed
QualificationsWe're Looking For:
An experienced veterinary technician with at least 1-year professional experience in a leadership role is required.

A certified veterinary technician with an active license in FL would be preferred, but is not required.

Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.

Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.

Consistent punctuality and reliability in adherence to scheduled shifts.

Availability to work some weekend shifts.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Problem-solving mindset with high accountability.

Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary procedures, preventative care, and hospital operations.

Expertise in safe and low-stress animal restraint techniques.

Proficiency in various sample collection methods, including blood, urine, fecal, and skin specimens.

Experience in radiographic positioning and image capture.

Experience in anesthesia administration and surgical monitoring.

Commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning.
Additional InformationPay Range:
 $23
  • $28/hr.
depending on level of experience.
