Job Description

Mars Hill Pet Care is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT/CVT) with a minimum of 5 years of clinical veterinary experience to become part of our growing hospital team. We are looking for an experienced technician who is confident in surgical nursing, anesthesia, dentistry, advanced patient care, and technical procedures while delivering exceptional care to our patients and clients.
Position Responsibilities:
✔ Surgical preparation, induction, monitoring, and recovery ✔ Dental prophylaxis and dental radiograph assistance ✔ Comprehensive anesthesia monitoring and documentation ✔ IV catheter placement and venipuncture ✔ Blood collection and in-house laboratory procedures ✔ Medication administration (SQ, IM, IV, oral) in accordance with state regulations ✔ Hospitalized patient treatment and monitoring ✔ Digital radiography positioning and assistance ✔ Surgical instrument preparation and sterilization ✔ Accurate medical record documentation ✔ Client communication, education, and discharge instructions ✔ Assisting veterinarians with diagnostics and procedures ✔ Supporting patient comfort using low-stress handling techniques
Qualifications:
Current Veterinary Technician License/Registration/Certification (required) Minimum 5 years hands-on veterinary experience required Strong surgical and dental experience preferred Proficient with anesthesia protocols and patient monitoring Skilled in IV catheter placement and venipuncture Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Leadership and mentoring experience welcomed
