Job Description
Are you a compassionate, skilled veterinary technician looking to join a team that values high-quality medicine, teamwork, and work-life balance? Forsyth Animal Hospital is a privately owned, family-operated veterinary practice that has proudly served the Cumming community since 1986. We are seeking a licensed veterinary technician to join our team. Our practice offers a unique combination of routine wellness care and advanced services - including orthopedics, oncology, and internal medicine management. We pride ourselves on providing thorough, quality care. Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with examinations and treatments
- Perform patient assessments and obtain medical histories
- Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures
- Collect and process laboratory samples
- Take and position radiographs
- Administer medications and treatments
- Fill medical prescriptions
- Educate clients regarding preventive care and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Assist with patient restraint and handling Qualifications
- Current LVT, RVT, or CVT license
- Strong communication, listening and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and focusing on tasks with multiple distractions present.
- Surgical and anesthesia experience preferred but not required
- Positive attitude and commitment to excellent patient care
- Working knowledge of major animal species as well as frequently used pharmaceuticals
