Job Description

Are you a compassionate, skilled veterinary technician looking to join a team that values high-quality medicine, teamwork, and work-life balance? Forsyth Animal Hospital is a privately owned, family-operated veterinary practice that has proudly served the Cumming community since 1986. We are seeking a licensed veterinary technician to join our team. Our practice offers a unique combination of routine wellness care and advanced services - including orthopedics, oncology, and internal medicine management. We pride ourselves on providing thorough, quality care. Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians with examinations and treatments
  • Perform patient assessments and obtain medical histories
  • Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures
  • Collect and process laboratory samples
  • Take and position radiographs
  • Administer medications and treatments
  • Fill medical prescriptions
  • Educate clients regarding preventive care and treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Assist with patient restraint and handling Qualifications
  • Current LVT, RVT, or CVT license
  • Strong communication, listening and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and focusing on tasks with multiple distractions present.
  • Surgical and anesthesia experience preferred but not required
  • Positive attitude and commitment to excellent patient care
  • Working knowledge of major animal species as well as frequently used pharmaceuticals
Pay:
$15.00 - $27.95 per hour
