Job Description
Whitmire Animal Hospital (www.whitmireah.com) is a full-service, 5 full-time veterinarian, small animal hospital offering complete medical, surgical and preventative care. Located on GA400, our prime location just 30 minutes from bustling Alpharetta, and just a short drive from the North Georgia Mountains, offers the perfect work/life balance. Our rapidly growing veterinary hospital needs an experienced Veterinary Surgical Technician and team member to join our fun, motivated and passionate staff. We run a highly successful facility that schedules appointments and sees walk-in clients, six days a week, including Saturdays. We are currently looking for a full-time, client-focused, personable and driven individual, who is comfortable working in multiple roles. The ideal candidate would be an overall team member, efficient working with all types of animals, and communicating with our patients' owners. We are looking for someone dependable, with leadership, communication and organizational capabilities. This position requires an individual with anesthesia and surgical experience. Duties include but are not limited to assisting DVM with animal handling/patient care, surgery prep and assistance, IV placement, medication administration, diagnostics, anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, client communication and discharge, dental radiographs/cleaning, laboratory testing and reporting, and maintaining hospital and surgical operating room cleanliness. Compensation negotiable and based on experience and background.
