This energetic role offers the opportunity to work closely with veterinarians and pet owners, providing compassionate support and ensuring the highest standards of veterinary practice. You will be responsible for assisting with medical procedures, animal handling, diagnostics, and client communication, all while fostering a positive environment for both animals and team members. Duties Assist veterinarian during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing animals, instruments, and supplies. Perform animal restraint and handling using proper techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Conduct laboratory tests including blood draws, urine analysis, and other diagnostics to support accurate diagnoses. Maintain aseptic technique during surgical procedures and wound care to prevent infection. Take and develop X-ray images, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Provide pet care services such as administering medications, and monitoring recovery. Support animal husbandry tasks including feeding, cleaning enclosures, and managing kennel operations. Assist in dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and performing pet dental cleanings under supervision. Experience Previous veterinary technician experience or related animal care background preferred. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail in all veterinary procedures.
