This role is designed for a clinical expert who not only excels in patient care but also serves as a mentor and team leader. Duties Assist veterinarian during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures. Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian. Prepare pets for surgery and monitor them during anesthesia and recovery. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Provide education to pet owners regarding animal care, nutrition, and training. Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilization of instruments and maintenance of equipment. Assist with inventory monitoring and supply management. Model professionalism, emotional maturity, and a team-oriented mindset. Skills To excel in this position, candidates should possess the following skills: Proficiency in safe, fear-free handling to ensure safe interactions with pets. Strong understanding of common medications and drug protocols . Experience in spectrum of care recommendations and client communication . Familiarity with laboratory procedures for conducting tests efficiently. Ability to perform X-rays and dental X-rays and understand imaging techniques. Confidence in drawing blood and IV catheterization for various medical needs. Understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures. Responsible for anesthesia monitoring and troubleshooting anesthetic complications. Steadiness during emergencies and under pressure. Commitment to continuing education and updated recommendations.
