Job Description

Overview We are looking for a friendly, outgoing traveling veterinary technician to assist with orthopedic and soft tissue procedures. What will the surgical assistant need to do?
  • Assist setting up surgery room
  • Maintain a sterile field
  • Prepare surgical site for surgery
  • Assist in surgery (minor responsibilities like dabbing away blood from an osteotomy or filling a bulb with flush; doctor is a great coach)
  • Clean surgical equipment and rewrap packs
  • Compose emails or texts correspondence with owners and clinic team members

Each patient we help is someone's family member who they're doing everything they can to help them feel better. We help give back joy and quality of life to cats, dogs, and their families. Qualifications Certified Veterinary Technician with current licensure or certification in veterinary technology. Proven veterinary technician experience with knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology. Hands-on experience in animal handling, restraint techniques, and aseptic procedures.
