• Job Overview
• We are seeking an experienced and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary technical skills to assist in providing high-quality veterinary services.
• Responsibilities
• Anesthetic monitoring
• Surgery and procedure preparation and assistance as needed
• Perform aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures
• Perform dental cleanings including obtaining digital dental x-rays (on-site training as needed)
• Blood draws
• IV catheter placement
• Nursing care of in-hospital patients including feeding, administering medications, monitoring vitals, oversee IV fluid administration, etc
• Conduct laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures
• Familiarity with animal behavior to aid in fear free and safe handling and calming of animals
• Handle animals with care and compassion during examinations and treatments
• Apply knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology to support veterinary procedures
• Maintain animal husbandry standards in the clinic
• Maintain medical records in a thorough manner
• Attention to detail
• Experience
• Proven experience as a Veterinary Technician
• Certified and non-certified veterinary technicians with experience will be considered
