Job Description

South Loop Animal Hospital and East Side Veterinary Clinic are seeking a Certified/Licensed Technician to round out their award winning team. We are a thriving 7 doctor practice with two locations, both located near the picturesque Chicago lakefront and easily accessible via public transportation. We are a Fear Free, Cat Friendly, AAHA accredited practice who is searching for the next rising star to add to our team of existing superstars. We believe in the power of knowledge, and allowing our staff to use that knowledge to support each other. Your success is our success, and we have the tools and resources to ensure that you will succeed! Our Veterinary Technicians obtain histories, carry out diagnostic and treatment plans, monitor anesthesia, and assist with periodontal therapy. We are committed to being a paperless clinic, so computer skills are an indispensable tool in your belt. Comfort with a fast paced environment and a busy schedule are expected, but you are always able to rely on the team to have your back during high volume periods. Duties include but are not limited to: Surgical monitoring Tissue cytology Medication preparation and administration IV catheter placement Radiography Dental Prophylaxis Admitting and discharging patients Must have for this position: Certification (CVT) or License (LVT) Small animal experience Multi-tasking skills and ability to function with high volume and practice best medicine Communications skills In addition to a highly competitive wage, we also offer the following benefits: Signing Bonus $1000 ($500 at time of hire, $500 at 90 day mark) Training Program Health, Dental, Vision and Life insurance Annual stipend for uniforms and CE PTO, including vacation and personal days Profit sharing plan for all staff We are a privately owned practice that is growing, and we need new staff to meet the demands of our clinic.
