Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and maintaining a sterile environment using aseptic techniques. Handle animals with care and confidence, utilizing animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Perform laboratory tests, prepare samples, and operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines to aid in accurate diagnosis. Maintain detailed records of animal treatments, vital signs, medication administration, and laboratory results with precision. Manage animal catheterization, IV placement, and other critical care procedures under veterinarian supervision.
