Job Description:

We are seeking flexible, well-rounded, experienced ER Veterinary Technicians (3+ years) to join our team for a variety of shifts, including afternoon (2 PM-10 PM), swing, weekend, and holiday coverage at our hospital.

NVA Animal Medical Center of Plainfield provides urgent care for pets who are sick or injured when their primary care veterinarian is closed or overwhelmed. We service the entire Southwest suburbs of Chicago and our growing 20-doctor practice not only offers emergency services, but we also offer ER surgical services such as caesarians, ingested foreign body removal, GDV surgery, laceration repair and any other procedures that cannot wait until the primary care veterinarian's office is open and available. Compensation:

$19•26 per hour, based on experience and skill level

Work Location:

13813 S. Rt 59, Plainfield IL Responsibilities Provide emergency care to animals, including administering CPR and IV insertion as needed. Perform animal catheterization and assist in critical care procedures within the ICU. Utilize veterinary terminology and knowledge of animal anatomy to assess and treat patients. Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments. Collaborate with veterinarians and other staff to ensure optimal patient care and recovery. Maintain accurate medical records and assist in laboratory procedures as required.
