  • Part-time, Full-time Overview Join the Hobson Valley team as a Veterinary Technician and help us provide the superior health care to all of our patients!
We need a new team member to support veterinarians with clinical exams and procedures, communicate with and assist pet owners, and ensure the best care for our patients. We provide preventative care, medical care and surgery for dogs and cats. Duties Assist veterinarians and work with other staff during examinations, anesthesia, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures Perform restraint and handling of cats and dogs in a safe and comforting manner. Conduct laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures. Take radiographs and assist with ultrasound Assist with dental radiographs and procedures Communicate with clients about patient care and update medical notes Qualifications Veterinary technician experience with cats and dogs as well as a desire to learn and grow with the team. Skill in techniques including giving injections, catheterization, drawing blood, and restraint methods. Knowledge of basic laboratory tests and sample collection techniques. Ability to handle dogs and cats appropriately to minimize fear and maximize safety. Familiarity with X-ray procedures and aseptic techniques to ensure safety and accuracy during diagnostics. Ability to work with and communicate well with team members as well as clients and patients.
