Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Veterinary Technician (preferred certified but not required) to join our dynamic veterinary team. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate animal care, assist veterinarians with medical procedures, and ensure a smooth workflow within our clinic. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional pet healthcare, promote animal well-being, and support pet owners through education and guidance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, some equines, and occasional swine in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and animals Perform animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both pets and staff during treatments or examinations Conduct laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to aid in accurate diagnosis Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infections and ensure high standards of cleanliness Support pet care and animal husbandry activities to promote overall health and comfort Take and develop X-ray images accurately while ensuring animal safety throughout the process Manage animal catheterization, administer medications, and monitor vital signs during critical care situations Educate pet owners on pet care, nutrition, dental hygiene (including dental terminology), and post-operative instructions Experience CVT preferred but experienced on the job trained acceptable Proven veterinary technician experience with a strong understanding of veterinary terminology and animal physiology Experience in veterinary critical care environments with skills in emergency response and patient monitoring Laboratory experience including sample collection, processing, and analysis Equine experience is highly desirable Knowledge of animal anatomy, restraint techniques, and aseptic procedures is essential Hands-on experience with X-ray technology and interpretation enhances your ability to contribute effectively in diagnostics Join us if you're passionate about animal health and eager to make a positive impact on pets' lives!
