Maplecrest Animal Hospital is located in Goshen, IN, a small college town about 2 hours away from Chicago, Michigan Beaches. Work week is 4 days a week with a Saturday (1/2 day) twice a month. We are a 2 doctor small animal hospital that focuses on general practice and surgery. Dr. Coon also has frequent pocket pet patients. We have digital (body and dental) radiography units, ultrasound, IDEXX in-house laboratory, and dental prophylaxis unit.

- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and wound care
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Take radiographs of animals (Digital body and dental units)
- Perform dental cleanings and assist with dental procedures
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and answer their questions
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a veterinary nurse or veterinary technician is preferred, but not required, we love to mentor.
- Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques
- Familiarity with veterinary medical equipment and procedures
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and veterinary staff
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Ability to put up with a boss who likes to make up veterinary song parodies and bad puns a bonus!
