  • Fear-Free focused approach to veterinary care What You'll Do As an RVT, you will play a critical role in delivering outstanding patient care and client service, including: Providing compassionate nursing care to patients Assisting veterinarians during exams, surgeries, dental procedures, and treatments Monitoring anesthesia and patient recovery Performing venipuncture, catheter placement, injections, fluid therapy, and medical calculations Collecting and processing laboratory samples including cytology, urinalysis, fecals, heartworm testing, and fungal cultures Taking radiographs (including dental radiographs), blood pressure readings, EKGs, and assisting with ultrasounds Preparing surgical suites and maintaining sterile equipment Educating clients on medications, vaccines, heartworm prevention, post-operative care, and overall pet wellness Handling emergency procedures including triage, CPR, oxygen support, and bleeding control Maintaining accurate medical records and communicating effectively with the veterinary team Assisting with client communication via phone, text, and email Supporting inventory management and maintaining treatment areas What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications ✔ Valid Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in Indiana ✔ Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology or equivalent ✔ Strong technical and clinical veterinary skills ✔ Excellent communication and client education abilities ✔ Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment ✔ Compassionate, positive, and team-oriented mindset Preferred Skills & Experience ⭐ Experience with multiple animal species ⭐ Familiarity with practice management software and EMR systems ⭐ Strong organizational and leadership skills ⭐ Knowledge of veterinary terminology, procedures, and medical billing processes Certifications Fear Free Certification within 90 days of hire
RECOVER CPR
Certification within 90 days of hire Working Conditions This position is based in a veterinary clinical setting with regular interaction with animals, clients, and veterinary staff. Exposure to animal allergens, odors, and bodily fluids may occur; appropriate PPE is provided.
