Experienced Veterinary Technician *New Facility*

Job description: Cedar Creek Pet Hospital is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician to aide in the care for our beloved companion pets. •$2,000 sign-on bonus available for Registered Veterinary Technicians!• Our doctors value the quality of care we provide to our clients and their pets. You will need to be confident and clearly able to convey the value of the services we offer. Communication and commitment to outstanding customer service is essential. We are a state-of-the-art hospital complete with digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, full in-house laboratory, and ultrasound. Our facility also offers additional services including boarding, daycare, grooming and physical therapy. Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and the skills necessary to support veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to a variety of animals. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and attention to detail are essential. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures. Perform routine laboratory tests and analyze samples. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian. Monitor animal health and behavior, providing updates to the veterinary team. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to ensure the safety of animals. Provide care in kennel settings, including feeding, grooming, and exercising animals. Educate pet owners on proper animal husbandry and care practices. Support dental procedures by utilizing dental terminology and assisting with cleanings. Participate in training programs for dog training and behavior modification. Qualifications Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology from an accredited institution is preferred. Knowledge of animal husbandry practices and principles. Proficiency in animal catheterization techniques. Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment used in veterinary medicine. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a compassionate approach to animal care.

CVT or RVT preferred Flexible availability required •Benefits available to full time employees following 90 days of employment•This position will require a weekend rotation along with morning and evening weekday shifts.
