Job Description

Join Charles River Laboratories at our innovative Kansas site—designed to connect Discovery and Safety Assessment while leveraging automation to accelerate toxicology research. As a Technician II, you'll play a hands-on role supporting preclinical studies that help bring life-saving therapies to market.
Schedule Monday-Friday:
2:00 PM - 10:30 PM or 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM What You'll Do Provide daily care and monitoring of research animals with a focus on humane treatment Perform animal handling, restraint, feeding, and housing maintenance Collect and record study data, including observations and body weights Assist with dose administration, sample collection, and euthanasia procedures Maintain accurate documentation in electronic data systems (GLP environment) Perform routine equipment use and maintenance Support clinical pathology and necropsy activities (training provided) Follow all SOPs, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements (IACUC/GLP) What You Bring High school diploma or GED (required) 6+ months of animal handling (required) Experience with needle use, dosing, or specimen collection (a plus) Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and data systems) Ability to work in a regulated, team-based environment Additional Requirements Willingness to work evenings, weekends, or extended shifts as needed Ability to follow safety procedures and wear protective equipment Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship Why Join CRL? From $21.50 per hour
