About Us Fort Mitchell Veterinary Center is proud to serve the northern Kentucky and greater Cincinnati area, providing the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service. The hospital opened in 2015 and is family owned and operated. We are a small animal hospital that cares for a variety of animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other small mammals. We believe in treating every patient as if they were our own pet and member of the family, giving them the same loving attention and care. Our doctors and staff are a group of highly trained, experienced animal lovers who are devoted to giving our patients the best care possible. Our team is committed to supporting one another, maintaining a positive work environment, and delivering compassionate care to every patient that comes through our doors. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be professional, dependable, and compassionate, with a strong commitment to teamwork, patient care, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, medical procedures, and outpatient care Perform surgical preparation, anesthesia induction, monitoring, and patient recovery Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian Collect samples for diagnostic testing (blood, feces, urine) Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient care and discharge instructions Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including adherence to aseptic techniques Handle animals with care, demonstrating knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy Support hospital efficiency by anticipating the needs of veterinarians and patients Experience Candidates should have prior experience in a veterinary setting, with skills that may include: Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience and surgical experience Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Experience with Pulse or similar veterinary software (preferred) Strong commitment to patient safety and compassionate care Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude We encourage individuals who are passionate about animal welfare and committed to providing excellent veterinary care to apply for this rewarding position.
Pay:
$21.00 - $24.00 per hour
