In this role, you will assist veterinarians in providing comprehensive medical services, ensuring the well-being of a diverse range of animals. Your expertise will help create a compassionate, efficient, and positive environment where animals receive top-tier treatment and owners feel confident in their pet's care. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, supportive mixed-animal practice dedicated to animal health and client service. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures. Safely restrain and handle animals of various species, including dogs, cats, and large animals. Place and maintain IV catheters, collect laboratory samples, and administer medications as directed. Prepare patients for surgery and monitor anesthesia under veterinary supervision. Operate diagnostic equipment including digital radiography and in-house laboratory analyzers. Maintain aseptic technique and ensure patient safety during procedures. Assist with dental procedures, including cleaning, radiography, and patient monitoring. Perform laboratory testing and communicate results to the veterinary team. Maintain accurate medical records using veterinary terminology. Educate clients regarding preventive care, medications, and treatment plans. Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment. Requirements Previous veterinary clinic experience is required. Veterinary Technician degree or licensure preferred but not required. Strong animal handling and restraint skills. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Experience with laboratory procedures, radiology, anesthesia monitoring, and patient care preferred. Large animal experience preferred but not required. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
