Six paid holidays Employee Assistance Program Employee discount program Some of the job duties involved in this opportunity include: Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection Run in-house laboratory testing (CBC/chemistry, urinalysis, cytology, fecals, etc.) Support surgical and dental procedures (prep, monitoring, recovery, instrument care) Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals during procedures Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery of patients Maintain cleanliness and sterility of surgical instruments and equipment Educate and communicate with clients on patient care, medications, discharge instructions, and preventative care Accurately document patient care and treatments in the medical record Collaborate with the team to maintain an efficient workflow and positive hospital culture Our ideal candidate has experience in the following areas: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Technician or equivalent education/training Proficient in animal handling, and animal restraint techniques Experience with animal catheterization and administering medications Familiarity with veterinary software systems for record-keeping Think you're the LVT/RVT we've been looking for?
