Great Road Veterinary Hospital is actively seeking a full-time experienced veterinary technician. The ideal candidate will be confident working with the veterinarian, other technicians and customer service staff, be comfortable rooming patients, assisting in surgery, surgical recovery, have experience with proper animal handling and restraint. They will have knowledge of x-ray and positioning, draw blood samples and running bloodwork using Idexx equipment and other in-house laboratory equipment, understands the importance of client education, is a positive and supportive team player, and strive to continue to increase their knowledge in the veterinary industry. What You Bring 5 years or more of veterinary technician experience Strong technical skills across anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and diagnostics Confidence in coaching, feedback, and team development Excellent communication and client education skills Ability to stay organized and lead in a fast-paced environment High emotional intelligence, professionalism, and accountability
Preferred:
Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT/LVT/RVT) Degree in veterinary technology or related field Key Responsibilities Patient restraint and handling Anesthesia administration and monitoring Surgical and dental assistance Laboratory and radiology procedures Pharmacy and medication management Medical record accuracy and compliance Client education and communication Why This Role Matters This is not just another technician role. Applicant Requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong focus on client service and patient care Knowledge of animal handling, common veterinary drugs, and clinical procedures Demonstrated patience, empathy, and professionalism High school diploma (required) 1 year of veterinary technician experience (required) Degree in veterinary or related field (preferred) Veterinary Technician Certification (preferred)
Compensation & Benefits Pay:
