$27.00 to $40.00 per hour, depending on experience and skillsBonus:
$2500 signing bonus Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital (TVEH) is a large 24-hour emergency and referral hospital located in Scarborough, ON, and we are welcoming a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT to join our Anesthesia and Surgery Team. While our network is large, we still offer that local community feeling, mentorship, and additional training! Work with their assigned Surgeon on appointments & surgical procedures Excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude and the ability to put pets and pet parents at ease Keep accurate medical records, answering messages and client communications Prepare medications, estimates, and billing Assist and perform anesthesia for patients across multiple services within the hospital Technical skills: physical examinations, patient assessment, venipuncture, catheter placement, peripheral nerve blocks, epidurals, arterial catheters and orthopedic radiographs. Review patient history, prepare flow sheets, and anesthetic protocols Coordinate with other departments as needed Obtain and prepare lab samples Patient management & care Willingness to learn and take on additional duties as neededKey Qualifications:
