Veterinary Technician

Job Description:

Furbaby Medical is hiring a Veterinary Technician (CVT preferred) in Ware, MA. We are a new, modern veterinary clinic focused on wellness care, diagnostics, and treatment of sick furbabies, opening in Jun 2026. This is a great opportunity for a technician who wants to work in a supportive, team-focused environment where your skills are fully utilized in patient care, diagnostics, and client education. We are looking for a reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented veterinary technician who enjoys working with both pets and people.

Pay:

$25.00•$30.00 per hour (based on experience and certifications)

Practice Hours:

Tuesday•

Friday:

8:30 AM•6:30

PM Saturday:

8:30 AM•3:30

PM Closed Sunday & Monday Responsibilities Veterinary Technician Duties:

Obtain patient history and vital signs Assist veterinarians with exams and treatments Safely restrain dogs and cats

Diagnostics:

Blood draws, urinalysis, fecal testing In-house lab work Digital X-rays Cytology (ear and skin)

Treatment & Pharmacy:

Administer medications as directed Fill prescriptions Monitor patients during treatment

Client Communication:

Educate clients on preventative care Review treatment plans and discharge instructions

Qualifications Required:

Veterinary clinic experience Ability to safely handle dogs and cats Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred:

Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT) Experience with X-ray and lab diagnostics
