Job Description

Located on five acres where the possibilities are endless, K9 Heeling is looking for a hardworking and highly motivated individual with a passion for dogs to join our team. We offer dog training, boarding, and daycare services that create a fun and fast moving environment. This position has growth opportunities for performance based raises and position advancement. We are more than just a place where you get to play with dogs all day but that's definitely one of the perks. We look forward to hearing from you! Major Duties and Responsibilities Feed, exercise, socialize, engage and bath dogs as needed in our care. Administer medications as indicated by owners and veterinarian. Bring animals to and from the kennel during check-in and check-out times. Clean up after animals both inside and outside the facility. Cleaning kennels and suites as needed. Maintain The CalmPound as a whole by performing tasks including, but not limited to: sweeping/mopping floors, wiping counters, taking out trash, cleaning bathrooms, and checking equipment/supplies. Assist other staff members on occasion with such tasks as helping support an animal, helping clients with their pets, acting as a distraction during training, etc. Be available on days/nights/weekends and holidays to tend to boarding animals. Attending social events as needed. Assisting in facility maintenance. Always keeping safety as your number one priority. Skills and Abilities Required Effective communication both written and orally. Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide). Carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and/or diagram form. Regularly stand for extended periods. Frequently walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Lift and/or move up to 50lbs. Maintain confidence around pets, including potentially dangerous animals. Ability to perform simple computer tasks. Experience, Education, and/or Training Required Some high school education. Dog handling or kennel tech experience and/or training a benefit
Pay:
From $16.00 per hour
