Registered Veterinary Technician

Pleasantville Animal Hospital of Fallston is a privately owned, family-based veterinary clinic providing compassionate care to dogs, cats, and birds (avian experience not required). We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team full-time. Qualifications Current RVT license in good standing (Maryland) Minimum 4 years of veterinary experience preferred Strong technical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and client education skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with wellness and sick examinations Obtain thorough patient histories Safely restrain dogs, cats, and birds (including poultry) Assist with sedation, anesthesia induction, and intubation Monitor anesthesia and surgical patients Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters Perform dental prophylaxis Take and process digital radiographs Conduct in-house laboratory diagnostics Administer oral and injectable medications Fill prescription medications Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients Maintain clean and organized treatment areas Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and team members Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) Employee pet care discounts Medical insurance Dental insurance Competitive hourly wage based on experience If you are a dedicated RVT who values patient advocacy, teamwork, and building lasting client relationships, we would love to hear from you.

Pay:

$24.00 - $28.00 per hour
