QUALIFICATIONS

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Biology, Veterinary Technology, or a related life science field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with laboratory animals in a research, academic, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or veterinary setting. Knowledge of animal handling, husbandry, and welfare practices. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to maintain accurate records and follow standard operating procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform animal dosing procedures, including injections and oral gavage. Collect and process blood and tissue samples. Conduct daily animal observations and health assessments. Collect study data, including body weights, lesion scores, and tumor measurements. Maintain accurate study records and perform data quality checks. Support breeding colony management. Assist with specialized animal procedures and training activities as needed. Provide daily animal care, including feed, water, and cage maintenance. Monitor animal welfare and report health concerns. Receive, inspect, and transfer animal shipments. Maintain animal census and colony records.
