Duties Assist veterinarians with clinical examinations, diagnostic procedures, and surgical interventions, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques. Perform animal restraint and handling using appropriate techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Maintain detailed records of patient treatments, procedures, and medical histories in compliance with veterinary standards. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarian while monitoring patient responses. Operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines and assist with radiographic procedures. Manage dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with pet dental care initiatives. Contribute to veterinary critical care efforts by monitoring vital signs and providing emergency support when required. Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Veterinary Technician or equivalent credential. Proven veterinary technician experience with familiarity in various clinical settings including general practice or specialty clinics. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and critical care protocols. Experience with laboratory procedures, X-ray operation, and aseptic techniques essential for diagnostic accuracy. Strong animal handling skills across different species such as dogs and cats. Ability to perform animal catheterization, restraint and phlebotomy. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and educate pet owners on animal health needs. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards.
