  • Full-time Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Vivarium Animal Technician to join our team in a dynamic, cross-functional role.
This position offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in animal care, handling, and veterinary practices while also contributing to shipping, receiving, facility operations, and direct customer interactions to support their research activities.
Duties Perform routine animal care:
feed, water; change bedding; and monitor health. Handle Receiving and Shipping of live animals, biological materials, and supplies Provide technical assistance for studies as required, including basic procedures: ID animal; blood draw; and trim teeth Conduct humane euthanasia following approved protocols. Wash cages, sanitize facility and equipment maintenance as required Engage in cross-training opportunities to develop expertise Interact with the Customer, Vets, other global sister facilities, and IACUC on a regular basis Utilize electronic systems for all activities Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree is preferred Experience in animal care, breeding, or Research is a plus Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. on site and internationally. Strong work ethic and attention to detail Adapt to and participate in system driven continuous improvement activities. Proficient in following standard work Strong ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment Must be proficient in the use of computer and a quick learned with electronic systems Must have strong problem solving skills

  • you might be required to train in Indiana for 1-3 month depending upon previous animal handling experience.
