We are a Fear Free Certified practice which means we don't wrangle animals all day; we get to enjoy them and work with their humans to provide the care they need in a low stress manner. We are looking for someone to join our team that takes pride in their work and wants to be a leader in the field. They should have compassion for pets, their people, and their co-workers. This candidate is detail-oriented, great at communicating, always looking for something to do, quick to learn new tasks, and competent in math and computer skills. Missouri registered veterinary technician (RVT) required. Duties include but are not limited to: Earning Fear Free Veterinary Professional certification Implementing tactics to reduce pets' fear and anxiety Educating clients on their pets' needs Assisting veterinarians in exam rooms Running in house laboratory tests and preparing samples to send out Caring for hospitalized patients Collecting blood samples and placing IV catheters Prepping and monitoring pets for surgery Cleaning teeth Hospital cleaning and maintenance Attending regular staff meetings during clinic hours This is a full-time position with 35-40 hours a week. Hours will be scheduled during the following time frames: Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 6:30 pm and once a year holiday kennel rotation. Hours may extend later based on patient needs, but we really focus on getting you out on time.
