Position Summary:
Veterinary Technicians play a vital role in patient care and client education. RVTs are responsible for advanced technical and nursing duties, including triage, diagnostics, anesthesia induction and monitoring, catheter placement, client education, and maintaining a clean, organized clinical environment. Support staff members are also cross-trained in basic client service responsibilities. This role requires strong clinical judgement, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple patients efficiently. The ideal candidate is team-oriented and motivated to practice at the top of their scope with appropriate autonomy, training, and mentorship. Excellent communication skills, a commitment to patient safety, and a collaborative mindset are essential for success in this role.

Working Conditions:
The ideal candidate will have the ability to: Work and adhere to a smoke-free, alcohol-free, and drug-free workplace. Able to lift 50 pounds on occasion. Able to stand for up to 4 hours at a time. Flexible work schedule with the ability and willingness to work weekends and holidays (excluding Christmas). Maintain confidentiality of all information received or learned while working at UPC.
Education/Qualifications:
Valid Missouri RVT or CVT license. 1+ year of experience in veterinary medicine.
