The ideal candidate will possess extensive veterinary experience, including critical care, animal handling, and laboratory procedures, with a passion for providing exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. As an RVT in our hospital, you will play a vital role in delivering urgent medical services, supporting veterinarians, and ensuring the well-being of a diverse range of animal patients. This position offers an opportunity to work with a committed team dedicated to saving lives and advancing veterinary medicine. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during emergency procedures, surgeries, and diagnostic tests with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques. Perform animal restraint and handling using appropriate techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Conduct laboratory tests including blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Maintain detailed medical records, documenting treatments, observations, and patient progress accurately. Prepare animals for procedures by administering medications, inserting catheters, and providing necessary pet care such as grooming or feeding as required. Operate radiography equipment to obtain high-quality X-ray images while maintaining strict safety protocols. Support animal husbandry activities including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring animal behavior to promote comfort and health. Collaborate effectively with team members on critical care cases involving complex animal physiology or specialized treatments such as equine or canine care. Experience Proven veterinary technician experience Demonstrated proficiency in laboratory diagnostics, radiography (X-ray), and aseptic techniques. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pet care best practices is required. Experience with animal catheterization, restraint techniques, and pet grooming is highly desirable. Prior exposure to veterinary critical care environments ensures readiness for high-pressure situations requiring quick thinking and precise execution. Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
