4-day work week | no weekends! Availability needed-6:45a-6:00p Who We Are At Hometown Veterinary Hospital, a Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner, we are committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to the pets of southwest Missouri. As a four-doctor practice, we provide both primary and urgent care services for dogs and cats, backed by a wide range of diagnostics and treatments.

We're looking for a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team and help us provide exceptional care to pets and their families. What You'll Do As a Veterinary Technician, you'll play a vital role in patient care and client communication.
Your responsibilities will include:
Handling and safely restraining animals during exams and procedures Collecting samples, drawing blood, and administering injections Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed Performing diagnostic tests, radiographs, and record-keeping Monitor and care for animals before and after surgery Providing client education and support with compassion and clarity Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinic environment Supporting and mentoring teammates to foster a positive, collaborative culture Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds Follow protocols and procedures with consistency and fairness Demonstrate empathy and professionalism in all interactions Cross-train and provide support in the receptionist role as needed What We're Looking For RVT preferred; or minimum 2 years of veterinary experience with growing responsibility Strong technical skills and the ability to work independently when needed Compassion and empathy for both pets and people Excellent communication and teamwork skills Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic A willingness to support, mentor, and grow with your team Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting Enthusiasm for learning and personal growth
