Veterinary Technician

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in animal care and handling, with a passion for providing high-quality animal care. This role involves working closely with veterinarians and other staff to ensure the health and well-being of our animal patients. Responsibilities Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed. Monitor animals in care. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, educating them on pet care and health issues. Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments. Cleaning animal care areas and facilities. Qualifications Previous veterinary technician experience is required. Animal shelter experience is a plus. Familiarity with animal catheterization, restraint techniques, and handling dogs and cats is desired. Skills in dog handling, training, grooming, and general pet care are beneficial. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills for interacting with both team members and pet owners.
