Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Certified Veterinary Technician and become a vital part of delivering exceptional animal care! In this energetic role, you will utilize your technical expertise to support veterinarians, assist pet owners, and ensure the well-being of a diverse range of animals. Duties Perform medical collections including blood draws, urine samples, and other diagnostic tests with precision and care Assist in animal restraint and handling, ensuring safety for both animals and staff during examinations and procedures Manage kennel operations by feeding, cleaning, and monitoring animals' health status to promote comfort and hygiene Conduct laboratory tests such as sample analysis and prepare specimens for diagnostic purposes Support veterinary critical care by monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting during emergency procedures Execute animal catheterization procedures adhering to aseptic techniques to prevent infection Provide pet care services including grooming, training support, and basic animal husbandry to enhance overall well-being Requirements Valid certification as a Veterinary Technician from an accredited program; veterinary experience is highly preferred Proven experience with animal handling, restraint techniques, and dog training methods Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and pet grooming practices Skilled in medical collection techniques such as blood sampling and laboratory specimen preparation Experience with equine care or large animal handling is a plus but not required Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations involving veterinary critical care procedures Strong communication skills for explaining treatments and procedures clearly to pet owners Join us if you're passionate about advancing animal health through skilled technical work!
