Full-Time About Ward Vet Services Ward Vet Services is a fast-growing, full-service veterinary practice dedicated to providing high-quality medical, surgical, and preventative care for companion animals. Our clinic offers wellness care, surgery, dental procedures, boarding, bathing services, and after-hours emergency support for established clients. We are committed to compassionate care, strong client relationships, and a collaborative team environment. We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician Manager to lead our technician team, support clinical efficiency, and help expand surgical and preventative care services within the practice. Position Overview The Veterinary Technician Manager is responsible for supervising veterinary technicians and assistants, maintaining clinical workflow standards, supporting surgery operations, and ensuring excellent patient care. This role combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support veterinary technicians and assistants Coordinate daily technician schedules and treatment flow Assist doctors during exams, procedures, and surgeries Oversee surgical preparation and recovery protocols Ensure accurate recordkeeping in ezyVet Monitor inventory and order medical supplies as needed Maintain OSHA safety and sanitation standards Train new technical staff and support continuing education Promote preventative care services (annual exams, vaccines, heartworm prevention, flea/tick prevention) Support growth initiatives for surgery, dental procedures, and wellness compliance Maintain strong communication between front desk, technicians, and veterinarians Qualifications 2+ years veterinary technician experience required Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong surgical assistance experience preferred Proficiency with veterinary EMR systems (ezyVet experience a plus) Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Passion for patient care and client education Preferred Skills Experience managing technician workflow Inventory tracking and ordering Staff training and mentorship Preventative care compliance support Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Employee pet care discounts Continuing education opportunities Opportunities for leadership growth within the practice Schedule Monday-Friday with occasional schedule adjustments based on surgical volume and clinic needs.
