Job Description

Job Overview Valley View Veterinary Hospital is a small, locally owned business in Bozeman, Montana that has been operating in the Gallatin Valley for over 50 years. We are a professional, energetic, and personable group of team members who share a common goal to provide outstanding pet care in a fun, friendly atmosphere. The successful applicant possesses a very strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal communication skills and pays close attention to detail. Responsibilities include but are not limited to animal care needs and medicating of animals, telephone and email communication with clientele, use of veterinary-specific computer software, restraint of both large and small animals, cleaning/sanitizing work areas and animal kennel areas. Applicant should also be able to work with/around needles and lift 40 pounds unassisted. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with precision and enthusiasm Prepare animals for procedures by restraining, cleaning, and administering medications as directed Collect and process laboratory samples such as blood, urine, or tissue for testing Maintain accurate medical records, update patient files, and document treatments thoroughly Provide client education on pet care, medication administration, and post-procedure instructions Monitor anesthesia levels during surgeries and assist in emergency response situations with confidence Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of surgical tools, kennels, and treatment areas to uphold safety standards Qualifications Proven experience or certification as a Veterinary Technician or equivalent is preferred but not required; relevant training programs are welcome to apply Strong understanding of animal anatomy, physiology, and common veterinary practices Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members Ability to handle animals gently yet confidently while maintaining safety protocols Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
