We are looking for a full-time RVT who is passionate about patient care, client education, and teamwork , and who enjoys using their full technical skill set in a collaborative general practice environment. This role is ideal for a technician with at least one year of experience supporting veterinary teams in a general practice or emergency setting who is ready to continue building their technical expertise while making a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their families. At Archdale Animal Clinic, our technicians are essential members of the medical team . RVTs work closely with veterinarians to provide high-quality patient care while supporting a welcoming and compassionate client experience. Our hospital is committed to creating an environment where technicians can: ✔ Utilize their full technical skill set ✔ Continue developing clinical confidence and expertise ✔ Build strong relationships with clients and patients ✔ Work as part of a collaborative veterinary care team Veterinary Technician Responsibilities Safely handle and restrain canine and feline patients Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and treatment information Monitor hospitalized and recovering patients Assist veterinarians with examinations and procedures Provide compassionate nursing care for patients throughout their visit Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement Administer medications (PO, SQ, IM, IV) Assist with anesthesia induction and monitoring Provide surgical preparation and assistance Perform diagnostic imaging including radiographs Conduct in-house laboratory testing including bloodwork and urinalysis Support dental procedures and patient monitoring Communicate clearly and effectively with clients Provide education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care Help ensure clients feel informed, supported, and confident in their pet's care Here is What You Will Bring to the
Position:
Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in North Carolina Minimum 1 year of experience as an RVT in a veterinary hospital (general practice or emergency setting) Strong technical skills including phlebotomy, anesthesia monitoring, and diagnostic support Excellent animal handling and patient care abilities Strong communication skills with both clients and team members Ability to remain calm and organized in a busy clinical environment The most successful technicians in this role are: Confident in their technical skills but eager to keep learning Passionate about providing high-quality patient care Team-oriented and supportive of coworkers Comfortable educating clients and answering questions Motivated to grow within a veterinary healthcare team Here isWhat We Will Offer You:
$20 - $25 per hour , based on experience, technical confidence, and skill set.
