Location:
Asheville, NC Full-Time | Overnight Schedule | 3x12s | 7pm-7am Looking for a Veterinary Technician role where you can grow your emergency and critical care skills while working alongside board-certified specialists in a collaborative, high-acuity environment? Join South Asheville Veterinary Emergency & Specialty , a 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital serving Western North Carolina and surrounding communities. As Registered Veterinary Technician on our Overnight Emergency & Critical Care team, you'll work hands-on with advanced cases, modern technology, and a highly supportive team that values mentorship, teamwork, and professional growth.
Compensation:
$24
  • 34/hr based on experience and licensure.
Schedule:
Three 12-hour shifts, 7pm
  • 7am.

Veterinary Technician Responsibilities:
Triage emergency and critical care patients Monitor hospitalized and ICU patients Assist DVMs with emergency procedures, diagnostics, and treatments Perform laboratory testing and patient monitoring Support advanced imaging and specialty procedures Administer medications and treatments accurately Assist with CPR and trauma cases Maintain detailed and accurate medical records Deliver compassionate communication and client support Collaborate closely with emergency veterinarians and specialty teams
Qualifications:
Registered, Certified, or Licensed Veterinary Technician (RVT/CVT/LVT) Minimum 2 years of veterinary emergency or specialty experience preferred Experience in a fast-paced ER or ICU environment strongly preferred Strong technical, communication, and teamwork skills Advanced patient handling and restraint skills Ability to adapt and remain calm in high-acuity situations EzyVet and SmartFlow experience preferred Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
