Cobb Animal Clinic is a trusted veterinary facility dedicated to providing exceptional care for pets through veterinary, grooming, and boarding services. We are currently seeking a Veterinary Technician (RVT preferred) to join our passionate team in Greensboro, North Carolina. As a Veterinary Technician at Cobb Animal Clinic, you will play a vital role in patient care, supporting veterinarians, and assisting with medical procedures while maintaining a clean, organized hospital environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Patient Care & Hospital Cleanliness Care for hospitalized and outpatient animals, ensuring comfort, safety, and well-being Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized clinic environment, including exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment Veterinary Assistance Assist veterinarians with physical exams, diagnostics, treatments, and medical procedures Safely restrain animals during exams and treatments as needed Appointment & Exam Preparation Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and veterinarian materials prior to patient appointments Ensure all necessary supplies and instruments are ready for procedures and exams Diagnostics & Technical Support Assist with radiology procedures following safety protocols Support laboratory processes such as sample collection, preparation, and basic testing Handle and maintain medical equipment properly Client Communication & Customer Service Provide exceptional customer service to clients in person and over the phone Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding appointments, patient needs, and care instructions Additional Duties Assist with inventory, restocking supplies, and general clinic organization Perform other duties as assigned to support daily hospital operations Skills Knowledge and Expertise This is not an entry-level position . Candidates should have 1+ years of experience in a Veterinary Hospital, General Practice, Urgent Care, Emergency, or Specialty Medicine setting.
Candidates should be comfortable with:
Animal restraint and patient handling Venipuncture and blood collection Laboratory diagnostics and sample processing Patient histories and exam room support Treatment administration and patient monitoring Medical record documentation Client communication and education The ideal candidate is confident supporting veterinarians throughout the patient visit while delivering exceptional patient care and client service. Standout candidates will have experience with: Surgical preparation and assistance Anesthesia monitoring Patient recovery and post-operative care Client discharge instructions and follow-up Strong communication and expectation-setting with pet owners are essential to ensuring continuity of care. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the hospital Ability to lift, carry, and restrain patients up to 50 lbs, with assistance when appropriate Comfortable working with animals of varying sizes, temperaments, and medical conditions Flexible schedule preferred Ability to support weekends, holidays, and high-volume periods as needed Reliable transportation required What We Offer - Invest in Your Career & Growth At Cobb Animal Clinic, we believe exceptional patient care comes from exceptional teams .
